Review by Sergi Fabregat
Insanely incredible show from 'Forgetful Heart' to the end... Spectacular
'To Ramona' once Bob has shushed the band! Speechless at what this man
makes me feel and how much I miss the show was longer now it has reached
this energy and brutal force this year.
Billy Strings has come out for a blistering Watchtower! Bob belting the
lines crazily to (it seemed to me) match Strings' guitar abilities. The
guy seemed truly honored to be there. 'Blind Willie McTell' could be a
piece of my personal pantheon. Just sinking in.
Magnificent Desolation Row, truly incredible.
I can't stress enough how good the show has been. Of course being my 125th
and being in really close seats with Bob perfectly visible the whole time
from up close while the sun went down and feeling it has been quite a lot
of eye connection plays its part but the show has really been something.
From 'Forgetful Heart' onwards, Bob has been incredibly locked in, giving
his all song after song, when now I'm tempted to highlight one song I
remember the next one and so on, so for now I'd stay with saying that I've
been really happy to finally wave my handkerchief in the air during 'Early
Roman Kings', 'dance' to 'Desolation Row' and Bob changing the phrasing
during the last verse and surprised myself with a personal new song, a
super classy 'Till I Fell in Love With You'.
Oh, he was pointing fingers (like to enhance meaning) during a 'Love Sick'
with lots of echo ("did I hear someone tell a lie?" / "Could you ever be
true?"). I've allowed myself to try to really listen to 'Blind Willie
McTell' and it has felt like one of the wisest things I've ever
experienced. Also, 'Don't Think Twice' has felt not only super personal
and with Bob featuring a mesmerizing 60s-esque attitude but miles better
than what he gave us in LA.
Willie has started quite weak but a few songs in he's gained strenght and
seeing him from that close has been quite an emotion. Also, seeing him
doing harmonies with Micah in that 'Bullshit' song is pretty epic!
Spokane is THE place to be for an Outlaw show, believe me. Take note for
2026 just in case...
