Review by Oscar Montes
My first show since the NYC Bacon's in 2014. The plan was simple, get to
Dallas FW airport same day of the show in the morning and find a way to
get to the Gainsville zone pretty close to Thackerville. Thanks a lot to
Erika for the ride to the world's largest casino. Great to finally meet
Carol in person and other followers on the Palladium bar on the preshow
gathering. Outstanding show! Completely new arrangements for me after
almost two years, especially in "Things have changed" and "Highwater".
"Highway 61" again is one the highlights of the show. Many people don't
like the Sinatra's songs, I must say I fully enjoyed the three of them.
It's obvious and everybody can tell Bob loves performing them. "Make you
feel my love" sounded beautiful and after the show every person used the
same word to describe it. "Desolation row" also one of the highest points
of the night. "Long and wasted years" is a permanent highlight for me: "We
cried on a cold and frosty morn, we cried because our souls were torn, so
much for tears, so much for these long and wasted years..." OMG, these are
lyrics only a Laureate in Literature could ever write! Excellent show,
people happy leaving the venue. After the show some of us followers got
together on the same place and stayed there until 2:00 am. I had to find a
way to get next day to Tulsa. Fortunately, luck would be on my side again.
