I had been in Milan at Arcimboldi theatre concert on 4th nov.
It had been a fantastic night, with a very very inspired Bob.
But fortunately I had decided to buy another ticket for this second night
in Rome, my native place. I don't know why, perhaps his great passion for
this historical city, but for these two only dates Bob changed completely
the setlists. And what a setlist I had the great luck to listen to!!! The
nice opening with Rainy day, a great version of It ain't me babe, an
inspired Long black coat. Then the sweetness of Positevely 4th street, and
many many other gems... Bob looked relaxed, among friends. He spent almost
the whole set behind his piano, enjoying himself along the renewed
setlist. Make you feel my love is smooth and sweet. When the deal goes
down is a great surprise, as well as a suberb arrangement of his
masterpiece Girl from the North country. I almost can't believe yet. And
Under the red sky is another highlight. The band is powerful and perfect
as they always are. Bob's voice is full of pathos. Ballad of a thin man is
perhaps the top song of the night. After the encore, Blowin in the wind is
just the blessing closing of a perfect night. If the 4th nov. gig has been
the result of the infinite poetry and inspiration of this living Myth,
I'll always remember this roman night for his unlimited heart. Thank you
Bob!!!
